Jonathan Lerma is a Bay Area based photographer. He is a native Californian having spent his childhood in San Francisco where he lived with mother, brother and two sisters. As an adult, Jonathan worked as a grocer, retiring in 2015. In 2017, Jonathan would find his lifelong passion when he picked up a camera for the very first time. In 2018, he enrolled in the photography program at San Diego City College and is currently continuing his studies at City College of San Francisco. Jonathan’s approach is often centered around finding healing through art and how he can find connection to the world around him through the lens. Jonathan’s previous work “Sanctum” was exhibited this past June at the Studio C Gallery in El Cajon CA. He is looking forward to his first published photograph this December 21st in Black and White magazine.
